Adina Stiftelsen Romania Foundation was established as an independent legal entity in 2004 at the initiative of the members of the eponymous Norwegian humanitarian organization.
During 2004-2010, in cooperation with the Infectious Diseases Hospital No. 3 “Victor Babes” from Craiova, the foundation carried out two programs: the Sponsorship Program and the Padea Program.
Between July 2004 and December 2010, the Adina Stiftelsen Foundation ran the “Sponsorship Program”, providing financial and moral support to 137 children/young people with HIV/AIDS or coming from families with socio-economic hardship.
In the period from February 1st, 2005, and September 1st, 2007, the foundation took on managerial responsibility of the Padea TB Prevention Hospital, in order to prevent the closure of this unit. Through the “Padea Program”, the organization helped 35 children who came from families with TB-infected members.
Since 2007, the foundation runs only educational projects aimed at facilitating access to education, improving skills and self-development of children and youngsters from disadvantaged families in rural areas in Dolj county.
