What we do!
Through our objective - to keep in the educational system as many as 220 children from rural Goiești and Farcas in the county of Dolj - we will contribute to the national target to reduce early-drop-out risk under 11.3% until 2020.

When - 1st of May 2014 - 30th of April 2016

Why?
In response to a high early-drop-out risk at national level and in the context of a Union-wide target to cut down on drop-out rates to levels as low as 10% by 2020, the Adina Stiftelsen Foundation - accredited as a provider of social services and active in providing educational services for dropout prevention in rural areas in Dolj County, under statute, considered necessary to initiate a project that will continue to support the school maintaining a double number of children supported in the present, in conjunction with increasing the quality of education and the need for education to parents raise strong, so that they can solve as many of the multiple causes underlying the dropout phenomenon.

How?
  •  providing educational services as after- schools activities like: homework support; English course for starters, creative activities, sports activities, traditional dances or "society" so on;
  •  providing educational materials and other minimum requirements for the quality of education (supplies, equipment's so on);
  •  teacher training services (training sessions, exchange of experience visits in Romania and Norway);
  •  counseling services for parents and volunteers, including joint activities teachers-parents-children.

Component 0 - Organize and promoting activities:
The agreement of all the parts involved in this project

DETAILS

Component 1 - Educational services for preschool children/Apen Branehage:
88 preschool children enrolled in 2014 kept in the educational system until the end of 2016 school year and two educators trained in implementing Apen Barnehage concept.

Component 2 - Educational services for pupils:
140 enrolled and kept in the educational system at least until 2016 school year, and eight trained teachers

Componenta 3 - Concealing services for parents/Home Start:
Twenty counseled parents in order to create a favorable environment at home and eliminate the risk of drop out of school; ten trained volunteers for the implementation of Home Start concept

Componenta 4 - Advocacy, sustainability, and promotion
Submission of a memorandum to the Ministry of National Education containing the recommendations formulate during the project, by the 30th of April 2016
