The successful achievement of the objectives of the project „I, an Oltenia-based Peasant, Need an Education!” was celebrated together with the beneficiary children and parents involved in the activities developed during the two years of the project, in collaboration with volunteers, local partners and FAS team.
The moments that marked the end of the project in Goiești, Țandăra and Farcas schools gave the children the opportunity to enjoy the sweetest surprise: cakes with the project’s logos.
The end of the project was celebrated during a festivity in the community – on 22 April 2016 at Goiești School, where 219 persons attended the event – beneficiary children, parents, teachers, representatives of local authorities and members of the community. This event offered the community’s representatives the opportunity to publicly express their appreciation regarding the positive impact of the project’s activities.
On 27 April 2016, the Project Closing Conference was organized in Craiova, event during which all activities and their results obtained during the two years of the project implementation were presented in detail, as well as the working methods which lead to the successful achievement of the set purposes.
During the event, there was an exposition corner where anyone could see objects made by the beneficiary children and also there were two artistical moments – Romanian folk dance and Gipsy dance – performed by beneficiary children and FAS volunteers.
103 persons participated in this event, among whom there were the beneficiaries of the project (children, parents, volunteers), together with the representatives of the main partners of the project - Adina Stiftelsen Bergen and Stiftelsen Kirkens Bymisjon Bergen, as well as representatives of local public authorities, of partner schools, of Dolj County School Inspectorate, of Dolj County Center for Resources and Educational Assistances, of Dolj County Council, of Dolj Prefecture, of Dolj General Directorate for Social Assistance and Child Protection, of Dolj County Directorate of Statistics, as well as representatives of NGO’s and local media.
