The successful achievement of the objectives of the project „I, an Oltenia-based Peasant, Need an Education!” was celebrated together with the beneficiary children and parents involved in the activities developed during the two years of the project, in collaboration with volunteers, local partners and FAS team.

According to the project’s objective – that is to contribute to the national target of reducing early school dropout under 11.3% until 2020, in the project “I, an Oltenia-based peasant, need an education!” there were organized two workshops with actors involved in the school dropout problem at a local level. The purpose of these meetings was to identify the causes leading to school dropout, as well as to make a comparative analysis between the local situation of school dropout before the beginning of the after-school program and the present situation.

From February 2015, the team of “I, an Oltenia-Based Peasant, Need an Education!” project started identifying and selecting the volunteers which will implement New Start concept in beneficiary communities, according to New Start methodology. People from different environments and social categories participated at 8 selection meetings organized by the team: students from Physical Education and Sport Faculty, students from Letter Arts Faculty – Communication department, Members of „Veteran Mont” Association, parents of beneficiary children and members of the local community.
